Facilities / Equipment Engineer

The role:
The individual will be responsible for maintaining the
capability of the site services, utilities and production
equipment’s for the facility on a rotating shift pattern.
Key functions of the role are as follows:

Preventative and corrective maintenance of all the sites plant and equipment.
Fault finding and repair of technical failures -
Undertaking improvement projects and tasks as part of the Equipment Engineering Team

Maintaining process control and ensuring that the process conditions achieve the required standard
-
Addressing and resolving process and site failures in a timely manner
-
Providing Technical support and assistance to vendors and contractors
-
Acting as part of the site Emergency Response Team, and liaising with emergency services during incidents
-
Ability to support the 24 hour, 5 day per week operation by working a shift pattern, but with some support for weekends where required.

Adhering to all internal safety, HR, environmental and quality guidelines & procedures.

required. Shift pattern attracts a shift premium.
Education background
HNC in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
Previous Experience
Knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, compressors and
electrical distribution and water services.

Senior Shift Process
Engineers

The role:
Due to the need to strengthen our existing team we have an
exciting opportunity for two Senior Process Engineers to
join the Engineering team based at Cardiff.
The role will involve translating customer’s requirements
into finished product that meets the customer’s defined
physical, electronic and optical specifications; this will
include responsibility for a process reactor. Carrying out
these duties on a shifted basis, you will provide the main
technical focal point out of normal working hours and be the
first point of contact for escalation of issues.
Key functions of the role are as follows:

Coordinate Shift process engineering team activities across weekend days.

First line process fault finding using sound engineering practice
-
Day-to-day responsibility for one or more process reactors, recipe generation and customer sign-off depending on shift pattern

Ensuring quality and specification are to highest standard

Ensure that all customer requirements are met in full and on time

Technical support for issues arising in connection with the operation of the bays

To monitor reactor performance and identify solutions and production problems

To participate and drive bay/product improvement programs

Shift pattern 4 days on and 4 days off 7.00 am – 7.00 pm
Education background
Graduate in a scientific or engineering discipline
Previous Experience
MOCVD growth or Semiconductor technology experience
