The role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining HVPE processes for GaN substrate and related products.
Key functions:
- Developing HVPE processes for GaN substrate manufacture
- Maintaining equipment and contribute to design improvements of equipment
- Developing new fabrication processes for manufacturing GaN products
- To characterise materials grown using appropriate methods
- To reduce defect density of material grown
- Improving yield of existing reactor and process
- Developing in-situ monitoring techniques

Hours / shifts: |
37.5 hrs a week 8.30am – 5pm Monday - Friday |
|
Education: |
First degree in physics, semiconductors, electronics or relevant subject. Masters or PhD in GaN growth by HVPE or MOCVD |
|
Previous experience: |
Hands on experience of running and maintaining vacuum systems |
|
Technical skills: |
Must be computer literate with a high standard of experimental diligence |
|
Interpersonal skills: |
A team player, able to communicate at all levels and be able to work on their own initiative |
